Hua-Hum River

Location: 30 kilometers from San Martín de los Andes


Level of Difficulty: Class II-III / Beginner

Known for its five major rapids and four pools, the “Terma” rapid being the most beautiful. “Cabeza del Indio” (Indian Head) is another thrilling class III rapid. The trip culminates with the adrenaline rushing “piedra tumbadora.” Enthusiasts of all levels will enjoy a trip on this river.

One of the most beautiful rivers in South America. Travel through Andean/Patagonian forest onto a more perennial and brighter area characterized by the large amount of rainfall during the year, known as the Valdivian forest. The mystical surrounding valley has dense riparian plantlife and is home to many species of birds and animals.
